On April 15, 2026, Queen Creek's Town Council unanimously approved an ordinance removing previous limits on the number of farm animals allowed on residential properties of one acre or more, following a code review that started in 2025. The change was explicitly framed as keeping more flexibility for agricultural-style use on larger residential lots than surrounding cities like Gilbert, Mesa, and Chandler currently allow.
